Mansalto’s vineyards grow in a privileged position at an average altitude of 500mt. Our rocky soils, manured with naturally and basically poor products and substances, do not ensure large yields, although they engender particularly healthy grapes and genuine and high-quality wines. Our grape varieties’ king is the traditional Sangiovese together with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.
All vineyards are trained with Cordon system. Grapes are harvested and selected by hand. Wines are fermented at controlled temperature in order to preserve aroma, scents and fragrances. Once gently pressed with a pneumatic press to avoid the extraction of hard/green tannins from seeds, wines are aged in French oak barrels and stainless steel tanks. Bottling is carried out at the winery. We will be glad to organize wine tasting for our guests during your stay here in Mansalto.
100% Sauvignon Blanc
Cortinova is a Tuscany white wine 100% Sauvignon Blanc. The result is an enjoyable wine, good structure and easy to drink. The altitude of our vineyards gives us an intense and surprisingly actual flavor. A must-to-drink.
90% Sangiovese – 10% Cabernet – Merlot
Commenda is a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Commenda is the perfect expression of our area, rich of sands and with a strong “skeleton”, although very limited in terms of quantity produced. Wooden refining matures the natural character of this wine, making it straight and authentic. For true lovers.
60% Cabernet – 20% Sangiovese – 20 % Merlot
Castello Rapale is made by blending Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sangiovese. The ageing in French oak barrels results in a complex but at the same time pleasant and seductive wine. Alluring.
Mansalto is a balanced sparkling wine, owning a wide aroma, fine bubbles, scented with exotic fruits. A charming Tuscany rosé. Let’s bubble !
